Hello everyone! For this 9th blog assignment, I will be using found poetry and blackout poetry to interpret and reflect on the 4 texts I have linked down below. Both found poetry and blackout poetry are made from existing texts. Words or phrases can be rearranged, reordered or shown as poems in found poetry. For blackout poetry, a person takes a black marker to cross out words or phrases, as if censoring them, to keep the ones that will form their poem.
I would also like to say that in working with these texts related to discourse communities, I worked with my classmates from my English Composition I class, Javon Lindsey-Terrell and Tai Mai. Working on these poems, we learned that there are many descriptions in these texts such as being connected and sharing history that can be seen within our classroom. I really enjoyed making these because I personally think there is something visually appealing about them. We tried our best to keep the essence of these texts although removing many words from the original work. Hope you enjoy! In this blog assignment I will be reflecting on the well-being of my digital portfolio.
I think my home page is flourishing since I have met all the criteria for the header image, quote, introduction and goals. My about page is also flourishing because I have the header image, quote, a photo of beautiful photo of myself, an author bio and a link to my Proust Questionnaire. I have recently added all the links which I had previously forgotten. My contact page is flourishing My Narrative Project page is sustaining thus still needs to be worked on. I would like to finish this page by the end of this week after I submit a print out of my final work to my professor, Sabatino Mangini, for him to help me edit it. I will also provide more description to my preface about my past experiences and blog assignments. I have yet to provide links for each one of them. I do not have to worry about my Research Project page since we have not started on it yet. My blog page, which you are currently on, is flourishing but I do plan on making at least 2 bonus blogs before the end of this week. For my Midterm Reflection, I was asked to create a vlog which you can access by clicking on this link to my Youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UveonAgDqRQ
In this video, I will be answering 4 questions:
Hello everyone and welcome back! In this fifth blog assignment, we watched 3 videos, which I have linked down below, from the Wizard of Oz. For this blog post, I will be answering 5 questions about how narrative writing affects the heart, mind and nerve, how we have agency in our writing and what I believe shapes a persons sense of identity. I will be sharing my own perceptions based on my personal experiences.
